Jayne McKelvy, DVM
I love developing partnerships with my clients with the common goal of optimizing their pet’s health. I communicate honestly and sincerely to explain diagnostics and recommended treatments, and anticipated cost of care so that pet parents can make sound treatment choices. I believe in good nutrition, proactive wellness care and early intervention in disease. I strive to reduce the need for urgent veterinary visits by developing a plan for solving and managing chronic and recurrent problems. I have special interests in the management of seizure disorders, geriatric pet care and behavior.
When not at the clinic, you’d most often find me working on my organic homestead; gardening, making cheese, collecting eggs and caring for all the critters on my little farm. I also train my Australian Kelpies to compete in sheep dog trials. My dogs are the biggest part of my life, my kids, my family. My greatest personal joy and satisfaction is seeing pets living happy, healthy lives.
